BDO: Season Server Quest – Very much worth it.

If you are on a season server trying to level up your new character make sure to take a look at this quest.  It’s not a black spirit quest but it is one just for the season server people.

You will find it over in the Gahaz Bandit area and you just need to find Rafa to get it.

You need to kill 5000 bandits and your rewards is 300 CP and a choice of 600 time filled black stones, 90 tuvala ore or 40 refined magical black stone.

This is a good quest to try to get more ore or stones for Tuvala gear.

Pro Tip:  Since you are planning on killing so many bandits – make sure to visit Marni and get some stones to fill up souls.  Every point helps to level up.

PIMD: A rough price guide

Examples of horrible deals:  Don’t screw yourself!

PIMD: What to trade or keep?

Party in my dorm tutorial -What to trade or keep?

Items you cannot give away, trade or even gift:

Pets or Pet Supply Boxes

Hunt collection items (Most)

Timer boxes

Lite Boxes

Cash

Extra Credit

Pim Key

Furniture Key

Avatars

You can drop the following for other people at their parties but you cannot trade or gift these:

Cats

Bikinis

Good items to trade:

Shards

Furniture

Stat Items

Spinner Items

What to keep:

Bentos

Chibis

This is considered currency in PIMD.  It’s good to save all of these.  I would only use these when you absoltuely have too.

*Note*

A lot of people will overprice items and want you to pay in bentos or chibis.   I was looking for a certain type of shards and wanted to trade with somebody.

I got so many posts on my wall where people said you can buy these shards for me for  “Blank” amount of bentos.  You do not need to accept these trades.

There are plenty of people who will trade without bentos or chibis.

Hunt Boxes:

People on the game will want to sell their hunt boxes (the ones that are tradeable) for bentos and chibis.  Do not buy them.  This is a rip off because in order to open these

boxes, you will need pim keys and in order to get pim keys, you need to pay real money and lots of it.  If you pay for these using bentos or chibis, you are basically paying twice.

How to get extra hunt boxes?

If you are willingly to pay real money to open these boxes, you can ask in chat if somebody will gift or trade with you for some.  There are a lot of people that do not want these boxes and will just gift them to you.

If you go the trade route, I would trade other items that are not bentos or chibis for them.

Good items to gift at Cat or Pizza Bikini parties:

If always expected in most clubs to gift the dropper of the cat or pizza bikini because the cat or bikini can cost real money and you need these items in order for the party to start.

Here’s a list of good gifts: (1 gift is usually acceptable unless otherwise noted)

Stat items

Amps

Chibis (Some people give these – I don’t)

Furniture (Not starter furniture)

Current hunt boxes(Some people don’t want hunt boxes because they don’t have the funds to open them-Check first)

Spinner Items

Here’s the bad list:

Non-stat items

1 Shard (If you have to give shards – give 5 to 10)

Old hunt boxes

Wallpaper or flooring (This is a dull gift)

IPAD Games: Animation Throwdown Tips & Hints

Animation Throwdown

Beginner tips:

Quests: Follow them

Keep following all those quests especially in the beginning.

They are relatively simple and offer bonus rewards.

Decks:

Customize your deck as soon as possible.

How:  Go to the “Deck” option on the main menu.

Turn “Auto Deck” off.

The top row is the deck, you are playing with.  The bottom is all your extra cards.

Drag and drop your cards that you do not want to the bottom row.

Place all the better cards into the top row.

The pink, blue and green are the better cards.  The gray cards are the lowest tier.

Upgrade:

Level up your cards

You do not need to level up all your cards.  Start with the rarer ones in your deck. (Pink, Blue & Greens)

Still in your deck option from the front menu, click on one card from your deck.

Once you click it, there is an option to upgrade the card at the bottom.

In order to level the card up, you will need some “Giggitywatts” or “Coins.”

How much it takes to level up a card depends on how rare it is.

You can also hit the “Max Out” button at the top of the card if you just want to max the card out.

Fuse:

Make your card even more powerful!

When you have maxed out / leveled up two identical cards, you can fuse them together to make one better card.

I do this a lot with my extra grey cards because you are going to need grey cards in your deck, so you might as well make them as powerful as they can be.

Research:

Research those combos!

During battles, you can stack cards onto other cards if the combo has been researched.

Click on “Research” from the main menu.

Click on one of the research pods and pair two cards together.  It usually takes a few hours to a day to research most combos. (It depends on the rarity of cards on how long it takes)

I pick one card out of my deck and try to research as many combos with that card.  Basically, keep doing research until every card in my deck can be paired with another card or multi cards.

You can also obtain rare cards from research.

Money:

Buying extra cards……

You do not need to buy extra cards if you level up your cards and research combos.

If you just want to support the creators and get rare cards faster, then go for it.

Black Desert: How to obtain sailing experience.

How to level up sailing?

Here is what you need to do:

·         Own a boat.  (A raft will not work)

·         Have lots of repair kits

·         You only gain sailing experience in un-mapped (unchartered) water. (Margoria Ocean)

·         You cannot auto-path in this area.

·         You cannot “AFK” sail in this area.  (At least it’s not recommended)

·         You will run into ghost ships and water sprouts that can damage your boat.

·         There are several daily quests in Port Ratt that help you gain sailing experience.

·         You can kill / hunt sea monsters. (Young Black Rust, Young Candidum, Young Nineshark) This will give you some sailing experience too.

Leveling up in sailing is one of the more difficult life skills to get experience for. BDO has reduced the experience you need for sailing to level up but really, not made it any easier to gather that experience.  You will have to decide if sailing that much is worth it to you.

Here is a random picture of my Shai character for no reason at all.

Black Desert: How I level up additional characters quickly.

How I level up additional characters:

I do the following before I start a new character because if everything is in place; I can level up a character to 56 in less than a day.

Preparation:

Armor: I place an extra set of armor in storage at either Veila or Heidel.  This is Helmet, Armor, Gloves and Shoes.  The extra set is just for leveling up different characters. My main set of armor will always be on my main combat character.  The extra set is leveled up to at least PRI. Some parts are higher but I don’t worry about leveling it up anymore.  All the armor and weapons have crystals in the sockets. I like the Grunil set because you have two places in each item to place crystals and since these are just additional characters, they do not need fancy armor.

Weapon: I buy two weapons (Main & Sub) and also place it in storage in Veila.  These weapons will be either 15+ or Pri.  Sometimes, I will buy a 15+ because it’s so much cheaper and just level it up to PRI. (It’s not super hard to level up a 15+ to pri)

Horse:  I will have a decent horse ready in the Veila stable. I will also gear up the horse too.

Food:  I will put meals & potions with extra combat buffs and carrots into storage.

Tools:  I will put one of each tool in storage. Example: Axe, Hoe, Butcher & Tanning Knife.  (Usually the ones with 100 to 130 uses)

Buff: Sometimes, I will put a combat book or several combat certificates in storage depending what I have at the time.

Jewelry: I put 2 rings, 2 earrings, necklace and a belt in storage.  I use the Asula set.

Start:

I create the character and start out in Olvia.  I follow the Black Spirit quests all the way to Veila and before killing the first boss; I will get my horse and everything out of storage.  Put on your armor, weapons and jewelry and get rid of your noobie stuff.  Have the tools on hand for any random quest that you might need it for. I then proceed to the 1st boss quest and kill him in about 3 seconds.  During this process, I will get out my pets and have them pick up loot even though the loot is not worth much. I will pretty much complete all the Black Spirit quests up to Calpheon. My goal is to get as many inventory slots as I can. By the time, I’m at Calpheon; I am ready to kill the Catfisherman boss which will level me up to 50.   I save all the buffs for this point since you will level up extremely fast to 50 without anything.  I am constantly eating meals whether I’m fighting or not because this will bump up your health.

After level 50:

I’m still going to follow the Black Spirit Quests until I get to awakening level 56 but I am also going to do a lot of mob killing. (Rhutums, Marsha & Catfisherman) Mob killing will help you level up pretty fast to 56. Be sure to use your points on combat skills thru out.  Don’t stop to kill ogres or cyclops.  You will be just slowing yourself down.

The way to think about it is and this is only an example. (Not factual numbers)

If one Rhutum is worth 2 points and you can kill 6 Rhutums in 3 seconds.  You would get 240 points of experience in 1 minute.

If one ogre is worth 20 points and you kill 1 ogre per minute, you would get 20 points per minute.

Even if you killed 2 ogres in 1 minute, Rhutums would still be the better deal.  More bang for your buck.

BDO has also placed combat experience as a reward in most of the quests so leveling up is much faster than before.  In some cases, you can get more combat experience from the quests than an hour killing mobs.  In my opinion, quests are really worth doing even past level 56.

BDO: Quest Tip – Count the arrows

I am trying to level up another character to 60 so I’m doing a lot of quests lately. There is one over by Outpost Supply Port that is particularly annoying and difficult. The quest is called “Count the arrows.” You will need to count all the arrows in several boxes.  It is completely random and not to mention almost impossible to count all the arrows but apparently somebody on the internet has done it.  (Not me though)  I searched google to find the answer – so here is what you need to do if you have this quest.

Open chat window: Type in 922.

Hit enter. Quest is completed.
